Frequently Asked Questions
Open Fluency Streak and tap the "Log Session" button on the home screen. You can record the time you spent studying, select the language you practiced, and optionally add notes about what you worked on (vocabulary, grammar, listening, etc.).
Your session will be saved and count toward your daily streak.
To edit or delete a session, go to the Plan or Stats tab and find the session you want to modify. Swipe left on the session to reveal options:
Edit: Tap the pencil icon to change the time, activity, or notes
Delete: Tap the trash icon to permanently remove the session
You can also tap directly on a session to view details and make changes.
Streak freeze tokens protect your streak when life gets in the way. If you miss a day, a freeze token is automatically used to keep your streak alive.
You earn freeze tokens by maintaining your streak consistently. The longer your streak, the more tokens you can accumulate. This way, you're rewarded for consistency but have a safety net for occasional off days.
Go to Settings and tap "Goals" to customize your daily targets. You can set goals based on:
Time-based: Set a minimum number of minutes you want to study each day (e.g., 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or any custom duration).
Session-based: Simply aim to log at least one session per day, regardless of duration.
Choose what works best for your schedule and adjust anytime as your routine changes.
Fluency Streak offers two ways to log your study time:
Timer: Start the timer when you begin studying and stop it when you finish. Perfect for real-time tracking during active study sessions.
Manual Entry: Log time after you've finished studying. Great for tracking sessions you forgot to time, or for entering multiple sessions at once.
Both methods count equally toward your streak and goals. Use whichever fits your workflow best.
Yes! Fluency Streak supports tracking multiple languages simultaneously. Add as many languages as you're learning from the Settings menu.
Each language has its own statistics and history, but they all contribute to your overall daily streak. So whether you study Spanish, Japanese, or both in one day, it all counts toward your consistency.
Activities help you categorize your study sessions (e.g., "Netflix," "Textbook," "Tutor"). Here's how to manage them:
Archiving Activities: Go to Settings → Manage Activities and swipe left on any activity to archive it. Archived activities are hidden from your active list but preserved in your historical reports and statistics.
Deleting Activities: You can delete activities that have zero sessions. Go to Settings → Manage Activities, swipe left on an activity with no sessions, and tap "Delete." Activities with existing sessions can only be archived to preserve your historical data.
Merging Activities: To combine two activities, rename one to match the other's name exactly. All sessions from both activities will be merged together under the shared name.
Note: If you accidentally create duplicate activities, merging them preserves all your session data in one place.
Fluency Streak supports ANY language - from widely-spoken languages like Spanish and Mandarin to less common ones like Icelandic or Swahili, constructed languages like Esperanto, or even sign languages like ASL.
The app includes common languages by default, but you can add any language you want through Settings. If you're learning it, you can track it.
If you have streak freeze tokens available, one will be automatically used to protect your streak. You'll see a notification that a freeze was used.
If you don't have any freeze tokens, your streak will reset to zero. But don't worry - your total lifetime stats, session history, and all other data remain intact. You'll just start building a new streak from day one.
Remember: the goal isn't perfection. It's about building a habit over time.
Fluency Streak lets you share beautiful visual summaries of your progress:
1. Go to the Stats tab
2. Tap the share icon in the top right corner
3. Choose your time period (daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly summary)
4. The app will generate a shareable image with your stats

The badge is permanent and will always appear on your shared stats to celebrate your early adoption.
Since Fluency Streak stores all data locally on your device (we don't have accounts or cloud storage), deleting the app removes all your data permanently.
To delete your data: simply delete the Fluency Streak app from your iPhone. This will remove all stored sessions, streaks, and preferences.
Note: This action cannot be undone, so make sure you're ready before deleting.

Yes! Since all your data is stored locally, Fluency Streak works completely offline. You can log sessions, check your streak, and view your stats without an internet connection.
If you back up your iPhone using iCloud or your computer, your Fluency Streak data should be included in the backup. When you restore your new device from that backup, your app data will be restored as well.
We're exploring additional backup and sync options for future updates.
